DREEF, launched in 2025, is Africa’s first dedicated early-stage project preparation and developer‑maturation platform for distributed renewable energy. Funded by KfW, GEAPP, FSDA, Shell Foundation and other partners, DREEF provides technical assistance, feasibility funding, credit support, and project-level capital to ensure DRE projects achieve full technical, financial, legal, and ESG readiness. With a pipeline of 46 projects, representing 428 MW and reaching 1,546 communities, DREEF is projected to impact 17.5 million people, mobilise over NGN 320 billion, create 9,885 jobs, and avoid 611,688 tCO₂e emissions. By combining a specialised Project Management Team with InfraCredit’s due-diligence architecture, DREEF standardises project quality and accelerates investment readiness. Its integrated “prepare-to-finance” model is highly scalable and replicable across Africa, enabling donor capital to unlock local-currency infrastructure finance at scale.
